We've Taught Over Half A Million Lessons Since 1978 |
No other establishment even comes close to our successful teaching program. For over 30 years Central Virginia has come to Guitar Works, Inc. for the most effective, professional and affordable instruction. We are unique as probably the only guitar shop in the country owned and operated by a highly trained classical musician. Brian Medas the owner not only studied under some of the world's great guitar artists, but enjoyed a successful performing career and taught both guitar and pedigogy (the art of teaching) at the highest levels. Brian sets a very high standard for our instructors with most having degrees in music and all must enjoy teaching. Our 15 performer/teachers give lessons Monday-Thursdays from 10am-8pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 10am-6pm. Private half hour and one hour lessons are given in guitar of all styles and levels, bass, banjo, and mandolin. With the mind set that teaching is an art and learning is fun we are able to tailor a lesson plan for everyone. No matter if you are the raw beginner, ages 7 to 70, the student who wants to play just for fun or the more advanced we know how to help you achieve your goals. There are no semesters. Students can reserve a standing once a week lesson or arrange to come for a lesson as needed. WITH OUR LOW OVERHEAD WE HAVE KEPT LESSONS AFFORDABLE AT JUST $20. per half hour session. It is that simple. It is the reason why we have been voted #1 place to take lessons by many polls. GRAB YOUR DAY PLANNER and give us a call today at 804.358-0855. |
